Rustic Cheese Planks
1 ½ cups flour
1 teaspoon salt
¼ tsp cayenne pepper
¼ tsp paprika
½ tsp garlic powder
2 tsp parsley
8 oz sharp cheddar
1 stick butter softened, NOT melted
Make sure the cheese is at room temperature. Grate the cheese. Using a food processor, pulse flour, salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder cheese and butter until combined and dough becomes smooth. Shape into a ball and wrap in plastic wrap. Store in refrigerator for 20-30 minutes. When ready to bake, bring dough to room temperature and roll out on a floured surface about ½ inch thick. Using a pizza cutter, slice into planks and transfer onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Sprinkle with parsley right before baking.
